This will be a shorter post with less explanation than most of my others. I'm assuming if you're reading this post that you have red most of my 'Best R/HR/SR Deck' posts.
This post takes into account current Bazaar pricing on cards and the power level you get for the deck. The decks I'm using are somewhat gimmicky but I'll explain how I selected these decks. These are assuming 4max evolutions.
Best 'Cheap' HR Deck: Man-Attack
1st Card: Berserker - 17.2k Attack - Big Hit to Demons Defense
2nd Card: Berserker - 17.2k Attack - Big Hit to Demons Defense
3rd Card: Berserker - 17.2k Attack - Big Hit to Demons Defense
4th Card: Berserker - 17.2k Attack - Big Hit to Demons Defense
5th Card: Sektor - 16.5k Attack - Big Boost to Holy War Points
This deck is gimmicky but serves a couple awesome purposes. I'll first note I use Berserker over Master Samurai for pure cost aspects. Each Master Samurai is normally about 3-4HP more than Berserker for a grand total of 800 more attack at the cost of 48-64HP. If M.Sams and Zerkers are going for the same price, go M.Sam.
Total attack of this deck is 85k unbuffed and takes down demons defense huge. If a player is up against a demon defense and is using this deck, they will tear up almost everything. Finally, why Sektor? It gives you a boost to Holy War points. This means during HW you can just swap it to your front card, reducing overall deck cost.
This deck is gimmicky because it requires you to only attack demon realm players and now and then you will simply lose because a demon player will use alternate realm defense like 5 Apsara.
Rough Cost of the Attack Deck: 200HP
Best 'Cheap' HR Deck: Man-Defense
1st Card: Paladin - 15.2k Defense - Big Boost to Man Defense
2nd Card: Captain - 17.2k Defense - Big Hit to Man Attack
3rd Card: Captain - 17.2k Defense - Big Hit to Man Attack
4th Card: Captain - 17.2k Defense - Big Hit to Man Attack
5th Card: Captain - 17.2k Defense - Big Hit to Man Attack
This deck should look familiar with on variant. It is the best HR man defense deck with extra Captains. Why? Because one does not simply make a man defense deck without Paladin. Paladin is such a cheap card for the power that it can't be ignored. Using extra Captains saves about 100HP but really players should always aim for three Paladins and two Captains.
Rough Cost of the Defense Deck: 300HP
Overall Advantage of having both: Will burn through Demon Defenses like you're rocking four Claymore. Will be able to point boost during HW. Defense will boost up to 95k at skill level one and will still bring utility against Man Attackers. For an overall cost of 500HP it's pretty tough to beat.
Awesome work Lucarda, hopefully you will have time to do this for Gods and Demons if you get a chance.
ReplyDeleteAnother question for you, is there a disadvantage to leveling up? I know that if you level up too fast that your deck might weaken but for almost all the events isnt it better to have more attack and stamina to rank higher without using HP and CW's?

There is no real disadvantage to leveling up. There are a lot of people scared of losing a battles and rupies as a result but they're hurting their abilities to gain higher rankings.
DeleteIt's more important to have multiple attacks than it is to be in a level bracket where you can beat 99% of players.
Hi Lucarda have used your guide since day one and glad to say I have progressed very far in two months. Kinda off topic for this post but I wanna hear your thoughts on the current event.
ReplyDeleteIs it true that the God ssr in the current event will be worth less that the demon sr? cause atm I am ranked around 1000 in the event and want some confirmation if I should break top 1000 and get the God ssr.
On a different topic what do you think of this demon def deck : 4-7 Temptress/Bloody Mist/Wraith/Bloody mist/Temptress. As I usually rank top 1000 in daily battles, 70% of my attackers are from man realm so it so far seems to work and my def win ration is about 50%.
I believe Hecate is more valuable, she is one of the most sought after cards and has had a very limited release. I think she will sell for more, and sell faster.
DeleteIt's not a bad deck at all. Temp is a fine wing card, I'm using her myself (primarily because I can't sell the damn thing for a decent price anymore). I see no reason for you to focus on defense except to skill up your Wraith and BMs unless you already have them skilled.

And yes I'm not worrying about def anymore, what I'm looking to update is my att deck. I'm currently running a 6-10 Ark Dragon/Nightmare s10/NM s10/Minotaur s4/Trow Elf.
I'm currently working on another 6-10 NM and when I get Hetake and sell her and my other cards I would have about 400hp. What hr/sr deck should I go towards? Should I ditch my ark dragon and try to squeeze out a 4-6 Sutekh or ditch both trow and ark for two 4-6 Tiamut?

You have a really solid deck there. I would probably snag up a trow in place of the ark. If you want to move into SR, the only SR worth it in an offense deck sadly is Hekate.
DeleteThat is my opinion. There are a lot of people who still really like Sutekh and Jorm. I just don't really like those cards for their cost vs what they bring. Sutekhs buff % is just too low since it's (all).
Here is something to really entertain though if you can pull it off financially and are comfortable with it.
Sell off: Both Temp Vamp, Ark, Trow, and the Hekate you're getting. Purchase two 4max Hydra. They make awesome wing cards at a cheap price. This way both your offensive and defensive wings are covered. It's something to think about.

ReplyDelete2x Temp is 300, Ark - 70,Trow - 170, Hekate - 400 at best, base sephiroth - 110,Chimarea - 50 and mino - 90 for a grand total of 1190hp. No where close cheapest ff Hydra go for 650hp.
Didn't hear your thoughts on 3xNM and 2x Tiamut, tia's are good and they target gods and have a good 20k base damage.
I don't like Tiamat. It's a tough card to liquidate and brings a very small boost over Trow. When you have other offensive options like Sutekh, Jorm, and Hekate it's hard to see a reason to aim for Tiamat.

Your deck is solid as it stands.
DeleteWhat I would recommend is working toward full lancelots down the road. Longi is a great card if you need to use it as an offensive wing and a defense card, but it's weaker buff makes it second to lance.
Your offense is solid as is. I don't see a reason to change anything but maybe skilling that last clay to 10.
Aim for King Arther (SSR), Lancex4 for an eventual defense deck.
The reason I'm recommending working on your defense before your offense is because I think the only truly worthwhile improvement offensively is Batraz and he's pricy as hell.

For me sektor is a basic card for every man deck. In hw he will be on the first spot..
Also I have a question about my deck. I am at the last step for my hr atk deck. I need only one c.maid, but I don't know if I should make 6 c.m or 4. C.m. in the aspect of selling it, if I go to SSR deck. I see in the bazzar that most 4-6 cards are selled.
A last question. What is the best SSR man deck ? Batraz is a card which I don't like.. should I wait till a SSR card with boots to man atk and focus ATM on man def deck or is there no hope for such a SSR card?
I am in the corner of 4max now for resale purposes. Bazaar ruined the market for better evos.

I'm god realm, and my atk is : 4-6 hermes / 4-6 sw / 4-6 trow / 4-6 ifrit / 4-6 gilg. def is still under construction, got 1 aps and hermes, i also have 4 ae in stock).
My question is, since there is no card like clay for man, do you think worth to swap realm go man ? Since it's pretty cheap to build, especially if i focus only on atk deck. The deck i had in mind is exactly the one posted by red5, except replacing with yuki the griff if i am little short on hp and for 5th evo.

While we on this deck building topic here, I just wanna ask about your opinion on Death. Currently, I am running on 2 chims, bloody m. wraith, and jorm. The base is about 84.8k and the skill level on wraith is 10 and bloody is 9 while jorm is 6. Still not enough since I wana go for top 1k ranks and my def kinda fails me most of the time. Am thinking about going for Death since it will add another 3k def to my base and I kinda feel that temp vamp wont be much useful for me. What do you think about adding a FF Death?
ReplyDeleteAnd I have actually look into this Hydra option as well. Seems plausible since its a balanced card with high stats on both Atk and Def. Its just that 1 Hydra = 1 FF Death. Should I wait or get a temporary card for the time being.
DeleteI would aim for another BM myself and plop her in one of those Chim spots. That 3k isn't going to save you in most cases but the random extra proc of her defense buff will.

Delete3k all the time vs an additional 8k about 25-35% of the time. Personally I don't think 3k is enough of a gain to cause you to win fights the fights you are currently losing, but 8k might be.

DeleteI like your clays. What I may recommend though, is see if you can move those pallies out for more lances.
I doubt your offense has any defenses it really beats its head on, and it will just increase attack cost giving you fewer attacks during holy wars.
Whereas if you're a point accumulator during holy wars, a 3 lance 2 longi deck pretty much discourages the shit out of people from attacking you.
Will I be able to beat gods defense if I stacked High Alchemists?

DeleteLong answer is it depends on your skill level and what cards they have in there deck. If you have all skill 10 HA and ran into all skill 10 apsara deck it would be basically an even fight. Tough to beat your deck if all skill 10 vs gods but worthless against any other deck.
Pretty much what Flame says. At that high of a level proc love and card skill level are the determining factors.

Apsara is OP right now but as man go for pallys. Gives you the realm boost on top of your other boosts. Plus pallys are much cheaper. Sell both apsara and buy 4-6 pallys.
DeleteMaster archer is good for wings bc the skill is only 8% at skill 1 but good base atk. If you only fight demons Sam is better bc its a 13% base decrease to def. Fight god or man sam is a waste of skill though. Clay is similar to apsara...OP as a HR. 17.4 atk and 13% base boost. I run 3 clays in my deck, skill 10, and just hit 175k atk! I also run master alchemist and Mimi.

In order to get the most bang for your buck out of Apsara you're going to need 5 god defense cards.

Is the hw point boost from sektor really significant? I decided to do what you said some demon realm players do and I almost have enough for 3 sk 10 cms and 2 yukis. But I was wondering if I should just switch out a yuki or a cm and get a sektor for hw?

DeleteThe point increase doesn't seem that heavy but it adds up HUGE.
Master Sams are going about 1-3 hps cheaper than zerkers now. Also, Master Archers do more damage than Claymores, have the same big boost to ATK, and are only 20-25 HPs. Whereas Claymores are still 50. I'm working on a deck inspired by this post lol. 1 zerker, 3 master sams, 1 master archer. Love the site!

I'd aim for that 2nd Ninetails first. Only because normally because the third boost card has diminished returns since it procs less frequently.

DeleteI just got an Azazel in a card pack and it looks like a clean Azazel is going for ~700hp. My atk deck right now is a 5-8 Berserker, a 4-6 Berserker, a 4-6 Master Samurai, and a 4-6 Great Spirit (soon to be High Priestess). My def deck is a 4-6 Paladin, two 4-6 Captain, a 4-6 Great Spirit, and a 4-6 Master Witch. Would you recommend using the hp I get from selling Azazel to boost my atk or def (andwhat cards should I get)?

I've always noted I prefer attack over defense. That being said, absolutely sell Azazel. Although he is an utterly fantastic card there's no reason to keep him if you're not going to 4max him and cards aren't exactly increasing in value.
Delete700HP you should be able to clear 3 Claymaids and possibly a M.Alchemist depending on the prices you get. After liquidating the cards you're not using after that you should still have HP left for HW.
So, as for updating the cheap def deck, there was a new card released with the Winter Zodiac set called Master Astrologist which has a higher defense than Captain (18070 with an 8 max versus Captain's 17878 according to the wiki) and a big hit to demon attack versus big hit to man attack. Oddly enough, M.Ast. (There are too many MA man cards now... >.>) seems to be selling for 3-4 hp while captain is selling for 4-5.

Though would you maybe recommend having a Master Archer as the lead card for a cheap man attack deck to give the deck a little more flexibility against more than just demons?
You can place a Master Archer in the top spot if you like, personally I've always despised 8% boost cards but they are not that bad.
